Legaltrans.id publishes starting prices to help clients estimate the likely budget. The standard figures apply to the Indonesian ↔ English language pair. For other languages: Starting from Rp250,000 per page, subject to the language pair and scope.
What are the starting prices?
| Scope | Starting price | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Indonesian ↔ English · digital file | IDR 75,000 | Per standard page, final PDF. |
| Indonesian ↔ English · digital + printed | IDR 100,000 | Per standard page, PDF and printed document. |
| Languages other than Indonesian–English | From IDR 250,000 | Starting rate per page; final quotation follows file review. |
These figures are not an automatic price for every document. “Per page” refers to a standard document page after the file has been reviewed. Dense text, complex tables, stamps, handwriting, or poor scan quality may require additional work.
Why do other languages start from Rp250,000?
Language pairs other than Indonesian–English may require specialist terminology matching, a suitable translator, additional review, or coordination with another language professional. The difficulty and availability of resources can differ between language pairs.
For that reason, Rp250,000 is a starting point for assessment, not a promise that every document in every language will have the same price. Include the source and target languages, document type, page count, and intended use when requesting a quotation.
What can change the price?
- Language pair and direction: Indonesian to English, English to Indonesian, or another language combination.
- Density and formatting: word count, tables, columns, annexes, stamps, and layout.
- Subject matter: civil-status, academic, medical, contractual, court, or technical documents.
- Intended use: internal review, immigration, court, university, embassy, notarial, or other official submission.
- Deadline and deliverables: urgent work, PDF, printing, delivery, revisions, or a special format.
- Additional services: legalisation, apostille, notarial, courier, or recipient coordination.
What should a quotation request include?
- 01Language pair.
Name the source and target languages clearly.
- 02Document type and purpose.
Explain whether the document is for a visa, school, court, employment, business, or internal use.
- 03File size and condition.
State the page count and whether the file is a PDF, scan, photograph, or editable document.
- 04Deadline and output.
Share the required date, digital or printed output, and any known legalisation or apostille requirement.
Does the estimator produce a final price?
No. The estimator and price guide provide an initial indication for standard documents. The final quotation follows review of the file and complete scope, including language pair, chargeable pages, formatting, deadline, and additional services.
For official use, confirm the required translation format with the embassy, court, university, company, or authority receiving the document. You may also read the guide to choosing a sworn translator in Indonesia.
